Bio

My name is Ryane Cronk, and I am from Franklin County, Virginia. I went to Virginia Tech prior to VMCVM, and I received a Bachelor's Degree in Dairy Science and am working on a Master's Degree in Animal Welfare/Behavior and Agribusiness. I am a first year student and plan to track Food Animal, as I hope to practice as a large animal veterinarian when I graduate.

I like being a student at Virginia-Maryland because of the hands on opportunities we receive through labs and clubs. One club I am a member of, Food Animal Practitioners Club, gives members many opportunities to gain experience with food animals, such as Saturday morning palpations. I also like being a student here because of the student-faculty relationships. Many of the professors and clinicians here strive to help the students succeed in any field they are interested in.

Since I was a freshman at Virginia Tech, I have fallen in love with Blacksburg. I love spending my free time taking in the beautiful scenery; from many walking trails, to various hikes, to the New River. Blacksburg truly has something to offer to everyone! The Hokie atmosphere is unmatched and really does feel like home.

My email is RLCronk06@vt.edu. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I look forward to meeting you!
