Bio

My name is Liz Logemann, and I am from Hockessin, Delaware! I am planning on tracking Food Animal Medicine here at VMCVM. There are many things that drove me to this program, but the truth is that it just felt like home to me. The school is fully of friendly faces, as well as professors that truly care about your wellbeing and want to see you succeed. The professors are very knowledgeable in their field of study, and many are willing to meet with you after hours in order to help you understand the lecture material and answer any questions you may have. The coolest thing about this program is the amount of hands on learning opportunities early on in your academic career. There are also many hands-on opportunities through clubs that allow you to work with clinicians and learn in an extracurricular setting. These opportunities allow you to explore specific interests, as well as experience new things. Many of these experiences can prepare you for future labs, as well as reinforce lecture material. The location of the school also drove me to the program. There are plenty of outdoor activities in the area such as hiking, fishing, and biking, which can be a great way to spend weekends as well as take a break from academics. There are also many great coffee shops in the area, which are good places to study and get work done on the weekends!
