Bio

Hello, my name is Paloma Díaz and I am from Queens, NY. I am part of the Class of 2027 and plan to track Small Animal. My goal is work as an Emergency Veterinarian.  I also have an interest in working with various pocket pets. I chose VMCVM because of their distinct curriculum and the fact that we get to enter clinics right after our second year. I was drawn to the fact that the first two years are based upon building our core knowledge and then we get to take our track specific courses third year. VMCVM also provides us a wide range of opportunities and experiences.

Veterinary school is tremendously different than undergrad. Our professors at VMCVM truly advocate for us and help us throughout the way. Everyone here wants us to become the best doctors we can be. Aside from veterinary school, I enjoy working out, cooking, reading, and spending time with my dog Bruno! If you have any questions about the program, please email me at palomadiaz@vt.edu .
