Bio

My name is Josh Wiley. I am from Kernersville, NC. I am currently planning on tracking mixed animal. I enjoy being a student of at VMCVM because it feels like a big family. As soon as I stepped onto campus, I felt like I was welcome, and people were excited to meet me and build a relationship going forward. No matter who you see in the halls there is always a smile on people's faces. The professors and fellow students truly try to encourage and help you whenever you may need it. A lot of the professors and clinicians will try to remember you by name and seek out time out of their busy schedule when you need them. Aside from the faculty and the people the curriculum is something that I appreciate. Having a pass/fail system takes off so much stress that of trying to get a certain grade before getting kicked out. Don't get me wrong the stress is still there but have that to fall back on is really nice. The systems-based curriculum allows you to see the material multiple times over the time that you will be here. Outside of school the area around the campus is beautiful and you can find things to do. If you love the outdoors there's plenty of trails that you can hike. If you try to find new people to hang out with and make new friends, then you will find them. Most people are nice and will treat you with respect.
