Michael Marciano

Bio

Hello! My name is Michael Marciano, and I am an Equine Tracker from Front Royal, Virginia. I am in the Class of 2027, and I made my decision to come here based on the experiences I had in undergrad.

I have been working with and learning from the Equine Podiatry Department since my freshman year of college after I graduated from Heartland Horseshoeing School. There is no other school that places such an emphasis on the importance of podiatry and that gives students so may opportunities get involved in learning about it. Every day, I practice making different horseshoes and learn more about farriery before going to class to learn about veterinary clinical sciences. There was no other place I would have been supported in the same ways that I have here, and it is for this reason that coming to Virginia-Maryland was an easy decision for me.
